Ceramic Capacitors

Power Conversion Components

High CV Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCC)

KEMET High CV Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCCs) are a preferred capacitance solution, offering tremendous performance, reliability, and cost advantages for circuit designers. Ceramics are non-polar devices that offer unsurpassed volumetric efficiency, delivering high capacitance in small package sizes. Available in a wide range of sizes, KEMET High CV MLCCs offer very low equivalent series resistance (ESR), exhibit excellent high-frequency characteristics, and are very reliable. MLCCs are monolithic devices that consist of laminated layers of specially formulated ceramic dielectric materials interspersed with a metal electrode system. The layered formation is then fired at a high temperature to produce a sintered and volumetrically efficient capacitance device. A conductive termination barrier system is integrated into the exposed ends of the chip to complete the connection.

Commercial ≤250V MLCCs

KEMET Commercial ≤250V MLCCs offer various form factors, dielectrics, case sizes, up to 250VDC voltage, and capacitance values to give designers solutions for every possible application. These MLCCs from KEMET are available in C0G, U2J, X7R, X5R, Y5V, and Z5U dielectrics with capacitance values up to 100uF and case sizes ranging from EIA 0201 to 2225. Form factors include two-terminal surface-mount MLCCs, arrays, axial, and radial leaded termination options, including those with Sn and SnPb terminations.

Commercial Grade SMD ≤250V MLCCs

KEMET Commercial Grade SMD ≤250V MLCCs offer a wide variety of dielectrics, case sizes, voltages, and capacitance values, giving designers solutions for every possible application. These MLCCs are available in C0G, U2J, X7R, X5R, Y5V, and Z5U dielectrics with capacitance values up to 100uF and case sizes ranging from EIA 0201 to 2225. These capacitors are Lead (Pb)-free, RoHS, and REACH compliant without exemption.

X7R Commercial Grade SMD ≤250V MLCCs

KEMET X7R Commercial Grade SMD ≤250V MLCCs are a family of Class II ceramic chip capacitors used for bypass and decoupling applications. These dielectrics are also suitable for frequency-discriminating circuits where Q and stability of capacitance characteristics are not critical. The temperature-stable X7R series can operate between -55°C and +125°C, a range within which capacitance change is limited to ±15%. These lead-free KEMET MLCCs are offered in 11 case sizes, with models ranging from a 6.3VDC to 250VDC voltage range and 10pF to 47µF capacitance range.
