TPS65283 Synchronous Dual Buck Converters

Texas Instruments TPS65283 Synchronous Dual Buck Converters come in a thermally-enhanced 4mm × 4mm VQFN package that is a full-featured 4.5 to 18V VIN, 3.5A/2.5A output current synchronous step-down DC-DC converter, which is optimized for small designs through high efficiency and integrating the high-side and low-side MOSFETs. The Texas Instruments TPS65283 also incorporates one N-channel MOSFET power switch for power distribution systems. They provide a total power distribution solution, where precision current limiting and fast protection response are required. The 60mΩ independent power distribution switch limits the output current to a programmable current-limit threshold between typical 100mA to about 2.7A by using an external resistor. The current limit accuracy can be achieved as tight as ±10% at a typical 1.25A. The nFAULT output asserts low under overcurrent and reverse-voltage conditions.
