As more companies allow work from home arrangements, the number of distributed Internet of Things (IoT) devices deployed by companies can be difficult to track and manage. IT departments are facing inboxes full of questions: Is Bill's laptop connecting OK? Does Lisa's tablet have the latest security updates?
Keeping a company's digital devices humming is a challenge. DIGI and ElectriCities recognize this and are presenting a webinar titled “Deploying, Managing and Scaling Your IoT Communications Network” on August 13 to address these topics. The webinar starts at 10 a.m. Central and will be available on-demand afterward. The webinar is also sponsored by Mouser Electronics. Register here.
DIGI and ElectriCities presenters will discuss how to gain complete visibility and control over distributed devices, enabling companies to scale, grow, and secure their networks in addition to getting notifications of security vulnerabilities and performing predictive maintenance.
They'll also emphasize the importance of a management interface to monitor, manage, and update device networks. The 30-minute webinar will be followed by a 15-minute Q&A.
John Coates, ElectriCities lead systems coordinator, will review how his company uses dashboards to track performance data in real time. As an example, he'll discuss how DIGI solutions enable ElectrCities to remotely control generators for temporary coverage when main power fails at a managed site. His session will also describe the cost savings and return on investment that ElectriCities has realized in its switch from a copper-based legacy system and how innovation with IoT has helped fuel the company's growth.
Stefan Budricks, DIGI product manager, will provide insights on some of the critical ways that DIGI Remote Manager improves aspects of deploying a network of IoT devices while making them more secure, simplying the process of keeping them updated with the latest firmware.
