Mouser and Molex Sponsor IndyCar Team Running in Indy 500
May 25, 2021 - Mouser Electronics, Inc., the New Product Introduction (NPI) leader empowering innovation, together with valued supplier Molex, is gearing up for this year's Indianapolis 500 at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The team competed at the historic track in last weekend's GMR Grand Prix, where the "Mouser Machine" made its 2021 debut for the Dale Coyne Racing with Vasser Sullivan team, sporting a Mouser Blue livery. They made it to Round 2 of qualifying and ultimately came home with a Top 15 finish.
Ed Jones, the driver of the No. 18 car, and the entire racing team now turn their attention to the 105th running of the Indianapolis 500 which will take place on May 30. The full spectacle is almost two weeks long, with multiple practices and qualifying sessions ultimately leading up to the big day.
"We are excited to see Ed Jones behind the wheel at this year's Indy 500 for the Vasser Sullivan team," said Todd McAtee, Mouser Electronics' Vice President, Americas Business Development. "It would be so thrilling to have another Indy 500 victory like we did in 2013. The collaboration between the team, Mouser and Molex is a testament to our combined mission for excellence."
