Standalone Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs)

Microchip Technology Standalone Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs) deliver high precision, low power consumption, and small size at up to 200Mega samples per second (Msps) for conversion of analog-to-digital signals. These ADCs can help overcome design challenges by allowing users to choose the correct ADC for low-power designs. Microchip designed these ADCs to operate in high temperatures and high electromagnetic environments. Most of them come with AEC-Q100-qualified automotive qualifications, providing the reliability required for automotive and industrial applications.

MCP3551 Analog-to-Digital Converters

Microchip Technology MCP3551 Analog-to-Digital (A/D) Converters are 2.7V to 5.5V low-power, 22-bit Delta-Sigma Analog-to-Digital converters. These converters provide 2.5μVRMS low output noise, 10ppm total unadjusted error, and 3μV offset error. The MCP3551 A/D converters offer high-accuracy, low-noise performance for sensor measurement applications. The MCP3551 converters have an 8-pin MSOP package with automatic internal offset and gain calibration. The differential analog inputs of these converters make the device compatible with a wide variety of sensor industrial control or process control applications.

Automotive Analog Products

Designers of electronic control modules within the automobile are being challenged to deliver increased performance in a variety of systems, including powertrain, chassis, comfort, driver information, entertainment, and safety. Microchip Technology's broad portfolio of low-power analog products enables the development of cost-effective solutions that address these challenges and others facing the system designer. As one of the first companies to apply Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) technology to the development process for analog products, Microchip has utilized its NVM experience to deliver innovative analog solutions with unchallenged electrical characteristics.
