Analog-to-Digital Converter: ADS7883

Texas Instruments' ADS7883 12-bit, 3 MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC) combines precision, low power dissipation, and a compact package size. The TI device features a capacitor-based ADC with inherent sample and hold and a 48 MHz serial interface for glueless connections with microprocessors and DSPs. The ADS7883 operates from a 2.7V to 5.5V supply range and can go as high as 5.5V digital input even when the device is operating on a 2.7V analog supply. The product is ideal for medical instruments, sensor measurement in digital drives, optical sensors, and battered powered systems.
