DRV8436EVM Stepper Driver Evaluation Module

Texas Instruments DRV8436EVM Stepper Driver Evaluation Module (EVM) allows easy evaluation of the DRV8436 device. The DRV8436 devices are integrated motor-driver solutions for bipolar stepper motors. The device integrates two N-channel power MOSFET H-bridges, integrated current sense and regulation circuitry, and a microstepping indexer. The evaluation module uses a Texas Instruments MSP430™ microcontroller and a USB interface chip to manage communication from the GUI software application installed on a PC computer with Windows®. The GUI sends serial commands to the MSP430 to control the device signals, monitor faults, read and write SPI registers, and drive a stepper motor by issuing the step commands at the desired rate.
