MAX77958EVKIT-2S3 Controller Evaluation Kit

Analog Devices Inc. MAX77958EVKIT-2S3 Controller Evaluation Kit is a fully assembled and tested printed circuit board (PCB) that demonstrates the MAX77958. The MAX77958 is a standalone USB Type-C™ and Power Delivery controller. The evaluation kit contains a MAX77962 charger to demonstrate the I2C master feature of the MAX77958. The MAX77962 is a buck-boost charger for a 2S Li+ battery application and is capable of 3.5V to 23V input voltage, with a maximum programmable fast charging current of 3.2A. The MAX16904, a buck converter, is installed on the evaluation kit to provide 5V to the VCONN pin. The MAX77958 uses the GPIO2 to enable the buck converter when the MAX77958 is in SOURCE Power Role. A Micro-B USB cable is included in the package to serve as the interface from a USB port on a Windows® PC to the slave I2C port on the MAX77958. Windows-based software provides a user-friendly interface to exercise the features of the MAX77958.
