TPS546A24S Synchronous SWIFT™ Step Down Converter

Texas Instruments TPS546A24S Synchronous SWIFT™ Step-Down Converter is a highly integrated, non-isolated DC/DC converter with PMBus^® and extended Write protection. This step-down converter offers a 2.95V to 18V input voltage range, 12 selectable switching frequencies ranging from 225kHz to 1.5MHz, and a 10A output current. The TPS546A24S converter can provide up to 40A on a single output if interconnected with two, three, and four other TPS546A24S converters. This step-down converter integrates 5.5mΩ/1.8mΩ MOSFETs and selectable 0.5V to 5.5V output through pin strap or 0.25V to 5.5V using PMBus VOUT_COMMAND. The TPS546A24S converter uses a proprietary fixed-frequency current-mode control with input feedforward and selectable internal compensation components for minimal size and stability. Typical applications include data center switches, rack servers, active antenna systems, remote radios, baseband units, automated test equipment, CT, PET, and MRI.
