Texas Instruments TPS6286Axx / TPS6286Bxx Step-Down Converters are high-frequency, synchronous, step-down converters that provide an efficient, flexible, and high power-density design. The converters operate in pulse width modulation (PWM) mode at medium to heavy loads and enter power save mode operation automatically at light load to maintain high efficiency over the entire load current range. The devices can also be forced to minimize output voltage ripple in PWM mode operation. Together with the DCS-Control architecture, excellent load transient performance and tight output voltage accuracy are achieved. The Texas Instruments TPS6286Axx / TPS6286Bxx devices feature a Power-Good signal and an adjustable soft-start feature. The devices can operate in 100% mode. The devices incorporate a HICCUP short-circuit protection and a thermal shutdown for fault protection.
