The unidirectional X040 Sensitive Gate SCRs can conduct current in one direction and block the current in the other direction. The bidirectional Z040 Triacs can conduct current in both directions and can block current in both directions. These highly sensitive devices are suited for home appliances, power tools, and industrial systems and can drive loads up to 4A.
