These capacitors feature internationally recognized safety certifications and are well-suited for applications that require keeping potentially disruptive or damaging line transients and EMI out of susceptible equipment. They are also an ideal solution when needing to suppress line disturbances at the source. The surface-mount CAN series from KEMET features non-safety-rated ceramic capacitors designed for 250VAC applications where higher CV values are required but not available in safety-certified MLCCs.
