Toshiba TXZ+™ TMPM4L Arm® Cortex®-M4 Microcontroller
Toshiba TXZ+™ TMPM4L Arm® Cortex®-M4 Microcontroller (MCU) integrates dedicated hardware and security functions for single-motor control applications that integrate dedicated motor-control hardware, security functions, and functional safety measures on a single chip. By offloading motor control processing to dedicated hardware, it reduces CPU load, enabling highly efficient and precise motor control. Built around an ARM Cortex‑M4 core with a floating-point unit (FPU) and operating at frequencies up to 80 MHz, the TXZ+™ TMPM4L MCU supports a supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V, ensuring compatibility with existing 3V‑ and 5V‑based systems while offering high design flexibility for new designs. Integration of a high‑speed oscillator with ±1% accuracy and an overcurrent detection comparator for emergency motor shutdown reduces external components and helps minimize board area. In addition, a low‑power STOP2 mode supports battery‑powered applications.
The TXZ+™ TMPM4L is ideal for use in next-generation home appliances and consumer equipment, including smart appliances and IoT-enabled devices, industrial equipment and factory automation systems, and office and commercial equipment.
