TDK X Series Surface-Mount Multilayer Varistors
TDK X Series Surface-Mount Multilayer Varistors (SMD MLVs) protect electronics against overvoltages and help reduce the CO2 footprint by up to 30%. These TDK varistors maintain high reliability and performance in compact case sizes (EIA0402 to EIA2220) and offer RMS voltage ratings from 3.5V to 40V and varistor voltages from 8V to 350V. The X series provides clamping voltages from 24V to 450V and withstands electrostatic discharge (ESD) up to 15kV air discharge, according to IEC 61000-4-2. Peak current handling ranges from 1A to 800A. User-specific adjustments are possible. These MLVs target power supplies, factory automation, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and sensor interfaces requiring miniaturization and electrical robustness, including in harsh environments.
