Using the display is easy, as Adafruit has a kernel driver and Python library for the ST7789 chipset. The user can set it up as a console output so they can have text and user interface through the Raspberry Pi OS. They can also draw images, text, or whatever is desired, using the Python imaging library. Tests showed ~15FPS update rates, so the user can also do animations or simple video. The devices come completely pre-assembled and tested, so the user doesn't need to do anything but plug it in and install the Adafruit Python code. The device works with any Raspberry Pi computer.
