Broadcom AEDR-9930E2/9930E2L Reflective Optical Encoders
Broadcom AEDR-9930E2 and AEDR-9930E2L 3-Channel Reflective Optical Encoders offer selectable and programmable options of digitally differential A, B, and I outputs. These digital encoders incorporate two-channel (AB) quadrature digital outputs and a third-channel digital index output. The AEDR-9930E2/9930E2L encoders feature 397LPI (lines per inch) or 15.63LPmm (lines per mm) and a 1x to 1024x SPI programmable interpolator. The AEDR-9930E2 is an incremental rotary-type encoder, whereas the AEDR-9930E2L is an incremental linear-type encoder. The AEDR-9930E2/9930E2L encoders are designed to operate over a -40°C to 115°C temperature range in a 5mm x 5mm x 1.05mm surface-mount leadless package. Typical applications include closed-loop stepper motors, small motors, actuators, industrial printers, robotics, card readers, Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) cameras, optometric equipment, and portable medical equipment.
