DFRobot Gravity: Flexible Array Tactile Pressure Sensors

DFRobot Gravity Flexible Array Tactile Pressure Sensors capture pressure distribution and localized force changes using compact thin-film sensing matrices. The DFRobot portfolio includes the SEN0704 with a 6×6 array of 36 detection points and the SEN0705 with a 4×8 array of 32 detection points. Both sensors provide real-time pressure data through a UART interface, reducing the need for complex analog acquisition circuitry.

The DFRobot Gravity Flexible Array Tactile Pressure Sensors use bendable FPC construction to conform to compact, curved, or narrow surfaces. Adhesive backing simplifies installation on robotic grippers, wearable devices, experimental fixtures, and electronic-skin prototypes. UART cascading and compatibility with Arduino, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi ecosystems support rapid prototyping and multi-sensor development.

Dedicated host software can visualize the sensing data as pressure heatmaps for evaluating overall force distribution and localized contact points. Fast response, repeated-cycle durability, and stable pressure sensing support robotic manipulation, human-machine interaction, wearable monitoring, and research applications.
