Microchip Technology ADM00974 USB Type-A Power and Energy Meter is a USB type-A power monitor based on Microchip's PAC1934. This power and energy meter features PAC1934, a Quad DC power/energy monitor with accumulation IC. The PAC1934 IC offers an internal 48-bit power accumulator and a 24-bit sample counter register that offloads the power/energy meter Microcontroller Unit's (MCU) processing load. This reduces the device's power consumption allowing space for additional high-level features. The ADM00974 USB Type-A power and energy meter are ideal for profiling consumption on various USB-powered devices.

The ADM00974 USB type-A power and energy meter measure USB voltage and current, automatically calculate instantaneous power, and accumulates power over time. This power and energy meter saves up to 10 measurements in its FLASH memory with counter reset options. The ADM00974 USB type-A power and energy meter provides information on bus voltage, current, instantaneous power consumption, and energy accumulation. This power and energy meter exhibits 180 degrees of screen rotation to ease operation with the screen saver feature, reducing the device's internal power consumption. The ADM00974 USB type-A power and energy meter include an OLED display and joystick navigation with user-friendly menus.
