Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP2229 Step-Down Converters

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP2229 Step-Down Converters are high-frequency synchronous rectified step-down switch-mode converters with built-in power MOSFETs. The MP2229 series offers 6A continuous output current in a compact 3mm x 3mm6 package. The MP2229 features excellent load and line regulation, and synchronous-mode operation for higher efficiency over the output current load range. Current-mode operation provides a fast transient response and eases loop stabilization. Protection features include overcurrent protection (OCP) and thermal shutdown (TSD). MPS MP2229 Step-Down Converters are offered in a QFN-14 package and require only a minimal number of external components.
