Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP5016/MP5016H Current Limit Switches
Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP5016/MP5016H Current Limit Switches are designed to protect circuitry on the output from transients on the input. These Monolithic Power Systems switches protect the input from undesired shorts and transients from the output. The MP5016/MP5016H switches current limits the maximum load at the output and controls the current limit's magnitude through an external resistor from ILIMIT to GND. The output voltage is limited by the output Over-Voltage Protection (OVP) function, and the MODE connection can set this clamp voltage. The MP5016/MP5016H current limit switches block current flowing from the output to the input when the IC is in enable off, power shutdown, or thermal shutdown.Features
