Silicon Labs AMW007-E04 Wireless Starter Kit
Silicon Labs AMW007-E04 Wireless Starter Kit provides an easy-to-use development platform to evaluate and develop applications based on the AMW007 Wi-Fi Module, using Gecko OS. The AMW007 module allows designers to rapidly embed Wi-Fi and secure networking functionality into virtually any device. The easy-to-use AMW007-E04 board connects to a PC using a standard USB cable. Alternatively, the EXP interface can connect the board to a Silicon Labs MCU Evaluation Kit.
Gecko OS
Gecko OS is the connectivity operating system for resource-constrained Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Gecko OS accelerates time-to-market by providing a common software foundation across multiple product lines. The OS offers integrated security, sophisticated network connectivity features, file management, rich peripheral interfaces, and more.
The Gecko OS provides a secure connectivity foundation that enables devices to connect wirelessly and be delivered to the market in weeks versus months/years. It can be used either as a serially connected networking peripheral to a master subsystem or in the core system microcontroller as the central operating system with a dedicated and encrypted application sandbox. Both scenarios enable optional product portfolio manageability through the device management service, ZentriDMS, and can use cloud products such as Amazon’s AWS IoT platform, IBM Bluemix, and Microsoft Azure IoT Suite.
