STMicroelectronics STEVAL-A6986IV3 Evaluation Board Based on A6986I

STMicroelectronics STEVAL-A6986IV3 Evaluation Board Based on A6986I is designed for isolated applications with an iso-buck architecture. The STMicroelectronics STEVAL-A6986IV3 board utilizes an inverting buck-boost topology at the primary side, known as isobuck-boost. This configuration offers higher deliverable power and optimizes transformer design compared to a standard buck. The device accepts input voltages up to 28V, with a negative primary output voltage due to the inverting buck-boost conversion. The secondary side includes four independent windings, each supplying a gate driver with precise post-regulation.
