STMicroelectronics AEK-POW-BMSCC Battery Management System (BMS) Evaluation Board is a centralized BMS evaluation board designed to support the development of compact and efficient battery monitoring solutions. Built around the L9963E battery monitoring and balancing IC, the board is capable of managing up to 14 lithium-ion cells in a single configuration. The board is particularly well-suited for applications that require a centralized BMS architecture, such as e-bikes, e-scooters, light electric vehicles (LEVs), and compact energy storage systems. AEK-POW-BMSCC provides essential battery management functions including voltage, temperature, and current monitoring, passive cell balancing, and coulomb counting for accurate state-of-charge estimation.The AEK-POW-BMSCC also features an isolated SPI communication interface, ensuring safe and reliable data exchange with external microcontrollers or vehicle control units (VCUs). A compact, modular design makes it easy to integrate into space-constrained systems, while compatibility with the AutoDevKit ecosystem accelerates development and prototyping.
