Texas Instruments TPS54201EVM-818 LED Driver Evaluation Module
Texas Instruments TPS54201EVM-818 LED Driver Evaluation Module (EVM) helps designers evaluate the operation and performance of the TPS54201. The TPS54201 is a synchronous buck-switching regulator for high-current LED driver applications. The regulator is designed to operate with an input voltage of 4.5V to 28V. The TPS54201EVM-818 provides an LED driver based on the TPS54201 buck regulator. The evaluation module is set up for a default output current of 1.5A at 3.3 V / 100% duty cycle PWM input, making the driver work in analog dimming mode. If PWM dimming mode is chosen, the output current will be halved to 75 mA. The forward voltage of the LED load is between approximately 1.5V and 23V (depending on the input voltage).Features
- Two 150mΩ/70mΩ MOSFETs for 1.5A continuous output current
- 200mV/100mV internal voltage reference in analog/PWM dimming mode
- Precision analog dimming by PWM input as low as 1%
- LED open/short protection
- Sense-resistor open/short protection
