WIZnet W5100S Embedded Internet Controller Chip
WIZnet W5100S Embedded Internet Controller Chip is designed with hardwired Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) / IP and WIZnet technology. This controller chip supports full hardwired Ethernet Media Access Control (MAC), 10Base-T / 100Base-TX Ethernet PHY, and is a one-chip solution for internet protocol. The W5100S comes with SPI and a parallel system BUS interface for the host interface. This controller chip provides a low power / low heat design, Wake On LAN (WOL), and Ethernet PHY power down mode. The W5100S is a low-cost chip that improves on the W5100 Ethernet controller. Any firmware compatible with W5100 is compatible with W5100S without any modification. This W5100S controller chip is available in 48-pin Low-profile Quad Flat Package (LQFP) and Quad Flat No-leads (QFN) lead-free package. Typical applications include home network devices, serial-to-ethernet, parallel-to-ethernet, USB-to-ethernet, security systems, factory / building / home automation, and embedded servers.
