USB Type-C® Charge-Only Receptacles
TE Connectivity's USB Type-C® Charge-Only Receptacles feature a simplified version of the standard USB Type-C interface for power-only applications. The receptacles eliminate most connectors' pins and solder points, leaving only four power and two ground pins. The 6-pin receptacles reduce complexity, failure rate, and overall product cost. TE USB Type-C Charge-Only Receptacles mate with standard USB Type-C plugs and cable assemblies for data and power transfer and require no additional hardware. The receptacles are designed to upgrade standard USB Type-C receptacles without changing the board design. The charge-only receptacles are ideal for power applications, including portable device charging, modular system interfaces, point-of-sale (POS) devices, industrial tracking/logistics, and robotics.
